In 1922, Matthew Schneider opened a hardware store in a small town Northeast of Fond du Lac called Silica, catering to the needs of local farmers.

After serving in WWII, Alphonse Schneider (Matthew's son) took over the business and expanded it to include major appliances, home electronics, and grills.

Alphonse believed that taking care of the customer was the most important thing he could do. His motto was "We Service What We Sell." To this day, service continues to be the foundation of our business.
